The weekly brief

The weekly brief for Acme, a fictional company watching six competitors.

  1. What it covers

Every Monday with something to report, the week across all your competitors in one page. It opens with what it covers: how many changes, by priority. A week without changes sends no brief.

  2. Patterns and the biggest move

Facts first: patterns found across competitors, counted from the changes themselves (two of six changed pricing), each fact linked to its change.

  3. This week's themes

The themes are the AI's reading of the week, written from the cited changes and set apart from the facts. Thin evidence means fewer, more careful points.

  4. Focus next week

Up to three things to focus on next week, for the leadership meeting. Suggestions, clearly marked as such.

  5. Coverage and sources

Every point cites the change it comes from, numbered in order, and the list of sources shows each one with its competitor and date. Competitors whose pages couldn't be read are named, never counted as quiet.

  6. Where it reaches you

The brief arrives by email on Monday morning for everyone who wants it, and stays in Weekly briefs, where it can be copied as text or printed.

Brisklane, Kestrine

Brisklane's Pro now includes SSO at $39, and Kestrine gives away scheduled reports while its beta lasts. Both land on the buyers your Growth plan serves. 12

Tallowby goes upmarket

Tallowby

A $40M Series B, then a homepage that leads with “Talk to sales” and enterprise customer stories. Expect it in larger deals, and fewer of the small teams it used to win. 34

Focus next week

AI suggestions, not facts

  1. Protect mid-market renewals: brief sales on Brisklane's new Pro.
  2. Decide whether SSO stays Enterprise-only in your plans.
  3. Speak to the smaller teams Tallowby is moving away from.

Try it on your own competitors

The free trial reads their pages today and compares them with archived copies from about 90 days ago, so the first changes usually arrive within minutes.

What is real here, and what is an example

Real
The layout, the order of the facts and the interpretation, the labels, the email and the Slack message: this is how Orlea shows a change today.
Example
Acme and its competitors are fictional, and so are their prices and pages. On your own competitors, the words come from their pages and the write-up from your company's profile.
Limits
Screenshots are taken for changes found after you start, as best effort; the 90-day history is compared as text from archived copies, so it has none. A page that can't be read is shown as such, never as unchanged.

Other examples: price change, product prices, product launch, positioning shift, homepage redesign.

Now see your own market.

Pick your competitors and see what they changed in the last 90 days, usually within minutes.
