What's new in Orlea

New sources, features and improvements as they ship, newest first.

Releases

  1. Monday
    1. New competitors, spotted for you

Markets move after setup. Competitors → Radar now suggests companies that start appearing next to the competitors you track: named with them in the press, compared with them on their own sites, or found by a monthly rerun of discovery. Each comes with the headlines and pages behind it and how strong the evidence is. Track it, snooze it or rule it out; nothing is added without you.

    2. Connect ChatGPT and Claude by signing in

Assistants that connect by signing in, such as ChatGPT's and Claude's custom connectors, now reach Orlea's MCP server without an API key: sign in, pick the workspace and allow read-only access. Each person reads as themselves, and admins see and disconnect connected apps in Settings → API.

    3. An API, and an MCP server for AI assistants

Read your competitors, changes, briefs and battlecards from your own code through a read-only REST API, or connect Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code to Orlea's MCP server and ask about your market where you already work, with links back to every change. Keys are made and revoked in Settings → API.

    4. Your product prices against competitors' shops

Import the product feed you publish for Google Shopping and compare every product with the same product in competitors' shops, read daily: your position, a price index per category with its history, and undercuts, price moves, promotions and stock-outs as one change per competitor per day.

    5. Alert rules

Write your own “when … then …” for changes as they arrive: set or raise the priority, send to a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, a webhook or chosen people, follow, mute or tag. A rule can also watch for product price moves of a set size. Test a rule against the last 30 days before saving it, and see on every change which rule fired.

    6. Microsoft Teams channels

Send changes to Microsoft Teams channels through Teams Workflows. Each change arrives as a card with its priority, what happened and a link to it; set a minimum priority per channel, send a test, pause a channel and see every delivery in its log. On every plan with Slack and webhooks.

    7. Export to CSV

Export the signal feed as filtered, a competitor's whole timeline or your product price table as a CSV file that opens cleanly in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets. Everyone on the team can export, viewers included.

    8. A coverage check per competitor

Each competitor shows which of its sources are read and which aren't, with the step that closes each gap. Agencies can copy a client's setup, alert rules included, to another client or keep it as a template for the next one.

    9. A public status page

See whether the app, monitoring, alert and email delivery, AI analysis and integrations are working right now, and any incident note, at Orlea's status page. We're alerted when a part stays degraded, before you have to tell us.

    10. Orlea has its own wordmark, a symbol and an app icon, drawn from one shape. You'll see them in the app, in emails, on this site and in your browser's tab.

  2. Wednesday
    1. Press releases from company newsrooms

Press releases now come straight from competitors' newsrooms on Mynewsdesk and Cision News and from the Nordic national wires, alongside press coverage, with one story per announcement.

    2. The right pages, watched

Setup now watches up to your plan's page allowance per competitor and picks whole sections over single products or campaigns, including retailers' offers, loyalty club and shipping pages. For competitors you already track, you can ask for better pages, and a site that couldn't be read at setup gets its pages chosen once it can.

    3. Fewer false alerts

A change now has to show up on a second read before it counts. Country versions, shared navigation and namesake job boards no longer raise alerts, and price changes are only reported when a price really changed.

    4. Messaging, side by side

See how each competitor describes itself today, next to the others, and get an alert when one changes its message.

    5. Every competitor's prices in one table

Compare every competitor's plans and prices side by side, with your own prices pinned next to theirs and every price change in the market, dated. Export the table as CSV.

    6. A 90-day recap on day one

A new workspace gets an analysis of what its competitors did in the last 90 days on its first day, instead of waiting for the first weekly brief.

    7. Pages that turn away automated visitors

Pages behind bot protection and pages built by scripts in the browser are now read too, still only where robots.txt allows. When a site can't be read, the dashboard says so plainly.

  3. Tuesday
    1. Track one product of a larger company

Follow a single product line, like Keynote on apple.com, by its own page and the pages under it, without the rest of the company's news.

    2. App Store releases and official filings

Competitors' iPhone, iPad and Mac apps are checked daily for new versions, price and rating changes. For US-listed and UK-registered companies, SEC EDGAR and Companies House filings become alerts too.

    3. Agency accounts

Agencies can monitor competitors for several clients from one account, each client in its own isolated workspace, with a branded weekly client report. Agency pricing isn't published yet: book a demo to set one up.

    4. Changelogs, blogs and press coverage

Competitors' changelogs, blogs, newsrooms and GitHub activity are read alongside press coverage, and the same announcement from several sources arrives as one story.

    5. Relevance that learns

Your team's reactions tune what gets notified, and every alert says why you're seeing it. Learning never silences a high-priority change; only an explicit mute does.

    6. Slack app and HubSpot

Act on alerts from Slack: mark them useful or not relevant, archive them or open them. In HubSpot, the right battlecard and recent changes appear on deals that mention a competitor.

    7. Battlecards and Ask Orlea

A battlecard per competitor that rewrites itself as they move, citing the changes behind its points. Ask questions about a competitor's history and get answers drawn only from your tracked changes, with sources.

    8. Pricing tracker and hiring signals

Pricing pages are read into plans and prices, so a change reads as “Pro $49 → $59”. Public job boards reveal new teams, markets and hiring pushes.
